I love this tattoo. Awesome! But I want to ask you why you chose The Great Wave off Kanagawa?

Hi suzi, contracrostipunctus is a study in the layers of meaning and it is a term i found in the book GEB by Douglas Hofstadter (which I give a link to in this blog).
Take your time getting into Singularity, it is a different record for us but one that we really believe is worth hearing. It is just another chapter in this story and an important one for us to have told.

Yuko, this is actually based on a print from Hokusai's 100 views from Mt Fuji.
Here is a link and the image is third row down in the center.

Jacob, I think your tattoo from Hokusai's 36 views from Mt Fuji. Here is a link. Anyway his ukiyo-e is wonderful. Feel very Japanese.

Yuko, I definitely took the color from the Great Wave of Kanagawa but the image itself is from the 100 views. I was particularly inspired by the waves turning into the birds. I think that image wonderfully portrays how our hardships give us a higher perspective and how pain ultimately leads to beauty if we choose to press on. Did you see the image in the link I sent you?

Jacob, of course I saw the image in the link you sent me at lunch time. I didn't know Hokusai has a picture book. I think here in Japan, 36 views from Mt Fuji is popular than 100 views from Mt Fuji.
You are art. You are awesome because you feel a lot of things from that.
